People need people. Even you. You didn’t rivet your car doors, churn your own butter or weave the fabric in your clothing. It took other people to do all that. You do not have to do your whole life by yourself. You don’t build a healthy lifestyle without strong, authentic connections to other people. But when it comes to changing eating and exercise habits people think they can go on a diet, join a gym and do it themselves. Make a decision to find a workout partner. You may go through a dozen people until you find the right fit. But I promise you, when you find a partner to exercise with, your chances of success will increase. Workout partners keep each other going. You are far less likely to submit to your own negative self talk when you are working out with your partner. It’s human nature to do better when someone is watching you. I promise you’ll laugh more. And if you start having more fun during exercise you are more likely to succeed.
